Because saying “It’s cold out” isn’t always enough

This morning, the temperature in Regina (with windchill factored in) was hovering around -40°C (for you Americans, that’s -40°F as well). Cold, I know. And the sad thing is, that’s been more the norm than the exception this winter. Being from Saskatchewan, you tend to expect that kind of temperature at least occasionally in January. But it’s March! You’d think it would be starting to warm up by now.
But sometimes saying “It’s cold out” just isn’t enough. So I’ve put together the following movie poster to explain things a bit better.
10 points to the first person to guess what book the image comes from. 15 to name the artist.
Love the poster:
Obviously Dante’s Inferno, as illustrated by Gustave Dore?
Gustave Dore, Dante’s Inferno
Okay, so we have two winners (as I hadn’t approved either comment till this morning no cheating could have occurred). Not that either of you needed to cheat. 25 points to the both of you!
Have I ever mentioned that Dore is one of my favourite artists?
